Frog TattoosA Little Bit About Frog Tattoos Frogs are currently an extremely popular animal image in the tattoo realm and are often depicted in an immense number of possible examples. Many tattoo designs are owe their popularity to the aesthetics of the model rather than the symbolism of the model. In this respect, the frog is a great model for several reasons because it can be wild and brightly colorful, with detail or smoothly gleaming, depicted alone or within its equally aesthetic environment. Frog's are a harmless and innocent choice and are aesthetically delightful at the same time. In addition, when symbolic meaning does enter the equation for consideration of a frog design, there is plenty of impressive rich history behind its use. From Japan to India and from the Romans to the Aztecs, these small but melodious animals have come to represent a wide variety of religious and emotional features, extracted for the most part from their instinctive behavior. Quite often frog tattoos have a deeper meaning. Two ordinary beliefs that seem to be quite common, though, is that the frog represents sorcery and fertility. In the West, we don't have to look far for those meanings when it comes to fairy tales of enchanted princes.
